Zoisite refers to a gray, brown, or pink mineral, used in ornamental stonework.

Zoisite which is also known as Calcium-Aluminum Silicate is also described as a gray-green mineral that occurs in cracks of igneous rock. Zoisite has three (3) known forms:

1. Anyolite a green matrix containing Rubies;
2. Tanzanite a transparent, blue-violet containing Strontium; and
3. Thulite an opaque pink crystals containing Manganese.

Zoisite was named after the Slovenian mineral collector Baron Sigismund Zois von Edelstein, who financed the expedition that discovered Zoisite.

Author's Note: Zoisite jewelries can be found in Exotic India through their website: https://www.exoticindiaart.com/.
