Matelasse
Matelasse refers to a dobby or Jacquard cotton fabric. The pattern stands out to give a quilted look for bedspreads and other home fabrics or fine Apparel fabrics. Matelasse is a kin d of fabric whose pattern is woven into the fabric, giving it an appearance of of a quilted weave figured pattern with raised, bubbly surface.
