Pierre Bourdon refers to a perfumer who had earned a degree in Political Science before deciding to make a career in perfumery. Pierre Bourdon joined Roure Bertrand in 1971and during his early years, he became the protege of perfumer Edmond Routnitska.

Later, Bourdon co-founded of Takasago Europe. In the early 1990's he went to work for Quest, and in the mid-1990's, he became the director of the Paris office of Creative Resources.

In 2007, Pierre Bourdon announced his retirement. Among the fragrances/perfumes created by Pierre Bourdon were:
