American Rag refers to a California-based company providing fashion and accessories to hip, young urban trendsetters.
The first American Rag was opened in San Francisco in 1984 as
a small vintage clothing store. Followed by Los Angeles store in 1985. In 2006, American Rag opened its third store in New Port Beach. Since then, the company has grown to offer its own label as well as boutiques selling shoes and clothing for children. American Rag offers Californians and tourists alike an eclectic mix of boutique and vintage fashions with designer finds from labels like AG, Diesel, James Perse, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, Botkier and more.
