Harris Tweed refers to a soft thick tweed woven from hand dyed woolen yarns. Harris Tweed is a popular fabric for coats and suits for both men and women.

Harris Tweed is a name gi ven to a type of woven tweed fabric on the Island of Harris and the Outer Hebrides Islands off the coast of Scotland. Harris Tweed is very often imitated, however, real Harris Tweed continues to bear the signature orb on its selvage that it has had since its development by Lady Dunmore in the 1840's.
