Liripoop refers to a finely plaited straw Hat exported from Laverne, Italy.

In medieval period, Liripipe referred to as the extended tail of a hood which could be as much as 5 to 6 feet long. It is also a medieval slang name for a "shoelace".

Liripoop is also known as Liripipe.
