Ohrbach's refers to a Clothing store in Union Square in New York which was started and opened by Viennese-born Nathan Ohrbach in 1923. Ohrbach's store was recognized for having high fashion at low prices. In an effort to keep prices low, the store offered minimal sales service, did not deliver or wrap, or do alterations. One of their selling principle was to refund the money of a customer and also give 10\% of the competitor's selling price, if a customer found an item elsewhere at a lower price than that of Ohrbach"s.

In 1934, Ohrbach's had approximately 1,400 employees. Eventually leaving the Union Square area, Ohrbach's moved to 5 West 34th Street, where it did an annual business of $30 million. Later the store specialized in inexpensive knock-offs of European designer clothing. The store closed permanently in 1987.
