Vidhi Singhania refers to an Indian fashion designer who was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. In 1994, Vidhi Singhania moved to Kotah, Rajasthan which was also her entry into the

world of fashion and textile. While in Kotah, she worked closely with traditional weavers and helped revive the humble Kotah Sari into a contemporary fashion statement. Vidhi Singhania's passion for fine Kotah Saris is evident from the exquisite work she has put in for the past decade to rejuvenate the art of weaving in this colourful Rajasthani city. Kotah is known for its fabulous weaves which was started by Maharana Bhimdeo in the 18th century. But the families of traditional weavers were starving without work because there were no buyers for the fine textiles any more. No one had thought of giving a new lease of life to these gossamer-fine fabrics until the arrival of Singhania who loves Kotah weaves. Kotah weaves are once again the chosen fashion statement of the rich and famous. Singhania makes Saris, kurtis and Western wear as well as bags and pouches with Kotah embroidery and Zariwork and each season her collection is a sell-out. The weavers are now re-settled in their homes and financially better of making Kotah hand-woven looms
