Abaete refers to the fashion label launched in 2004 with a well-received, Japanese Inspired resort collection by its owner and designer Laura Poretzky, a French-Brazilian fashion des igner.
In 2005, the first Abaete for Payless collection hit the runways for the Fall 2006 collection. The collection was mainly made up of dresses which were understated and feminine. Abaete, embodies the spirit of its designer, Laura Poretzky, by capturing French femininity, Brazilian sensuality, and American simplicity. Among its famous celebrity clients are Jessica Simpson, Emma Stone and Becki Newton.
Abaete is also known for its line of shoes for Payless. This spring we can expect to see some amazing, high-end shoes on the shelves. Super-strappy stilettos in suede paired with sheer, colored tights or knee-length leggings add an edge to Abaete's ultra-feminine skirt ensembles.
Abaete is pronounced "ah-bye-ah-tay".
