Antique is a descriptive word which means: in the tradition, fashion, or style of an earlier period; old-fashioned; antiquated. Likewise, it means: belonging to, made in, or typical o f an earlier period, as in Antique Jewelry.
Antique also refers to any work of art, piece of furniture, decorative object, jewelry or the like which were created or produced in a former period, or, according to United States customs laws, 100 years before date of purchase. (See Antique Jewelry)
