Eugene Schueller refers to the Father Of Commercial Hair Color. French Chemist Eugene Schueller created the first commercial hair coloring in 1907, although various forms of haircolor ing agents have been recorded in history since the earlier years. Schueller claimed that the product was completely safe. His hair color invention was based on p-phenyldiamine and it became the basis for his French Harmless Hair Dye Company. Ultimately Schueller's Harmless Hair Dye Company became L'Oreal.
