Jumpsuit refers to a one-piece garment that combines a shirt and trousers and usually closes up the front.. Jumpsuits are originally worn by aviators and parachute troopers during World War I and World War II. It also became popular during the 1960's especially for use while skiing.
In the 1960's, however, the Jumpsuit became a high quality piece and ready to wear to any special occasion. The jumpsuits became dressy and started to be spotted in high fashion, particularly in the 70's and 80's and again in 2008 and 2009 when famous fashion designers came out with beautiful and dressy jumpsuits, among them were Stella McCartney for Spring/Summer 2008, Michael Kors, Alexander McQueen.
