Christian Audigier founded the wildly popular Ed Hardy brand in 2004 after leaving Von Dutch which he had singlehandedly turned into a cult label with the creation of the trucker-cap trend. He was granted the exclusive rights to the tattoo designs of Don Ed Hardy. With Ed Hardy brand, Audigier not only created a brand, but a lifestyle of street couture.
