Natalia Vodianova refers to one of the world's richest Russian models on fame and one of the Top fashion icons and based on Forbes rankings one of the highest-paid models worldwide. S he was born in Gorky (renamed Nizhni Novgorod), Russia's third largest city on February 28, 1982. She lived with her mother and two half-sisters in unpleasant conditions. In 1991, she still lives and works with her mother at a fruit stand.

But no matter how hard life was, Natalia Vodianova still managed to enrol in a modeling academy, where she learned ladylike behavior and etiquette while going to castings until she caught the eye of a scouting agent from Paris. He told her that a great future was in store for her; all she had to do was learn English in three months, which she did.

In 1999 at the age of 17, she moved to Paris and signed with Viva Model Management

She has appeared in ad campaigns for David Yurman, Louis Vuitton, L'Oreal, Diane von Furstenburg, Marc Jacobs, and Calvin Klein and has been featured on the covers of many magazines including Vanity Fair, Vogue, i-D, W, Italian Vogue, British Vogue, Pop and even in Tokyo Numero.

Vodianova was rated by Forbes last year as the 7th highest-earning models and at the same time has been recognized for her philanthropic contributions.

Natalia Vodianova recently became the brand ambassador to lingerie company Etam and is also designing a capsule collection for the brand each season.

Natalia Vodianova is married to Justin Portman and has three (3) children: Lucas, Neva and Viktor with him
