Carolyn Murphy is an internationally acclaimed Fashion Model turned actress who was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA on August 11, 1975.
At the age of 16, her career began whe n her mother enrolled her in a modeling school in hopes of her daughter earning money for school and getting over her shyness. She was spotted by Mary Lou Nash, owner and operator of Mary Lou's Models, a modeling agency and after seeing her potentials, Murphy started modeling locally throughout Florida for ads and magazines and Alabama and as well as in other countries, like Japan and Paris.

In 1991, after she graduated from high school Murphy moved to Milan to further her modeling career. Mario Testino spotted her in Paris and photographed her for French Vogue. Her career took off after that.

In 1994 she cut her hair short, similar to Mia Farrow's pixie cut and she became the face of Prada. This made her even more popular and soon she was in major magazines like Harpers Bazaar and Vogue.

In 1995, Anna Wintour had Steven Meisel photographed her for American Vogue i and he began to use her for other campaigns, like Dolce Gabbana, Max Mara, and Calvin Klein.

In 1998 Carolyn Murphy was named VH1's "Model of the Year" at the 1998 Fashion Awards. She also started an acting career with the role of Dubbie the Blonde in Barry Levinson's Liberty Heights in 1999.

Carolyn Murphy has daughter named Dylan Bleu who was born in December 2000 from her marriage to Jake Schroeder whom she was married to from 1999 until their divorced in 2001. She currently lives on a small farm in Central California, where she raises her daughter, surfs, rides horses and tends her garden.
